Established that the Greek gods could only use their powers through money, they had to get jobs in order to finance them. In this strange dimension, they were mortal if not for the money that Hermes transformed into ambrosia that they could later extract from ATMs. Zeus and Hera, under their alter ego identities of John Jupiter and Laura Juno, had marched to Delphi in search of the Fates while the rest remained in Athens. One half of the gods had no problem with this particular situation. Sophia Minerva found work as a professor at the University. Fred Phoebus played music and recited poetry in bars. Danielle Diana joined a feminist group that later allowed her access to police investigation work regarding gender violence. They were basic jobs that gave them an average amount of money to finance their powers. The work of the three gods was achieved thanks to the investment of money/ambrosia that Zeus had left them behind to begin with. Through these, Sophia demonstrated to the Dean her extraordinary wisdom as Athena, Fred showed his artistic virtue to the bar owners as Apollo and Danielle demonstrated her shooting accuracy to the police corps as Artemis (just like Maurice Mercury had done as Hermes with the banker).

The other half, however, squandered the initial loan out of sheer arrogance. The source of power for all the gods was extracted from the ATMs by debit cards. Tony Mars was the one who wasted his powers within seconds of removing them from the ATM. He was ambushed by a large group of small-time thieves who he mutilated without mercy as Ares. Veronica Venus went shopping and used her Aphrodite powers to manipulate the male vendors into giving her free products and the female vendors, who despised her, to commit suicide. Victor Bacchus, whose appearance in the form of his alter ego was barely 13 years old, was upset when a bartender refused to serve him alcohol. To which, as Dionysus, he made plenty of his own, bursting pipes from the floors, walls and through the bowels of the barkeep himself to flood the bar with wine.

A common feeling amongst the three was the degree of dissatisfaction with the temporality of their powers. Seeing how the responsible gods were indifferent to their complaints, the boastful gods decided to investigate a way to perpetuate their powers through high incomes. However, they discovered that the business that facilitated this level of income was in the black market as criminals. They realized that to carry out their work, they had to open an account in another bank and get the power of Hermes to transform it into ambrosia, since, on the one hand, he could block their accounts by order of Zeus and, on the other hand, the god of commerce was the only one with the faculty to make such a transformation.

Veronica volunteered to execute the first part. She seduced Maurice and slept with him. Using what little remained of his powers, she bore a five year old Hermaphroditus in a matter of minutes. But precisely that limitation of her power as a goddess and the sperm that came from the mortal version of Hermes, created a new version of Hermaphroditus. The child had the features of a transsexual with the powers to change sex at will. As for the laundering of divine money, Tony Mars managed to steal a little to do the experiment. Hermaphroditus was able to transform the money into ambrosia and the operation was a complete success. From then on, the three corrupt gods separated to their own interests in the criminal underworld.

AURÓPOLIS

Establecido que los dioses griegos sólo podían usar sus poderes a través del dinero, tenían que conseguir trabajos con tal de financiarlos. En esa extraña dimensión, eran mortales de no ser por el dinero que Hermes transformaba en ambrosía para que pudiesen extraerlos de cajeros. Zeus y Hera, bajo sus alter egos de Juan Júpiter y Laura Juno, habían marchado para Delfos en busca de las Moiras mientras que el resto permanecía en Atenas. Una mitad de los dioses no tuvo problemas. Sofía Minerva encontraba trabajo como profesora en la Universidad. Fernando Febo tocaba música y recitaba poesía en bares. Daniela Diana se afilió a un grupo feminista que luego le permitió acceso a trabajos de investigación policial por violencia de género. Eran trabajos básicos que les proporcionaban un poder adquisitivo medio para financiar sus poderes. El trabajo de los tres dioses se conseguía gracias a la inversión del dinero/ambrosía que Zeus les había dejado atrás para comenzar. Mediante éstos, Sofía demostraba al Decano su extraordinaria sabiduría como Atenea, Fernando ostentaba su virtud artística a los dueños de los bares como Apolo y Daniela demostraba su virtud de puntería al cuerpo de policías como Artemisa (igual que Mauricio Mercurio había hecho como Hermes ante el banquero).

La otra mitad, sin embargo, despilfarró el préstamo inicial por mera soberbia. La fuente de poder para todos los dioses se extraía de los cajeros mediante tarjetas. Tony Marte fue quien derrochó sus poderes a los pocos segundos de sacarlos del cajero. Lo emboscaron un gran grupo de ladrones de poca monta a quienes mutilaba sin piedad como Ares. Verónica Venus fue de compras y utilizó sus poderes de Afrodita para manipular a los vendedores masculinos para que le regalasen productos y a las vendedoras femeninas, que la despreciaban, a suicidarse. Víctor Baco, cuya apariencia en forma de alter ego era de apenas 13 años, se molestó cuando un camarero no quiso servirle alcohol. Con lo cual, como Dioniso, hizo el suyo a raudales, sacando pipas de los suelos, paredes y a través de las entrañas del propio camarero para inundar el bar de vino.

Un elemento en común a los tres era el grado de insatisfacción respecto a la temporalidad de sus poderes.  En vistas que los dioses responsables eran indiferentes a sus quejas, los dioses más soberbios decidieron investigar en alianza la manera de perpetuar sus poderes mediante altos ingresos. No obstante, descubrían que el negocio que les facilitaba este nivel de renta era en el mercado negro como criminales. Se percataron que para llevar a cabo su labor, debían abrir una cuenta en otro banco y conseguir el poder de Hermes para transformarlo en ambrosía, pues, por un lado, éste podía bloquear sus cuentas por orden de Zeus y, por otro, el dios del comercio era el único con la facultad de hacer dicha transformación. 

Verónica se prestó para ejecutar la primera parte. Sedujo a Mauricio y se acostó con él. Utilizando lo poco que quedaba de sus poderes, engendró a Hermafrodito con edad de cinco años en cuestión de minutos. Pero justamente esa limitación de su poder como diosa y el esperma que venía de la versión mortal de Hermes, creaba una nueva versión de Hermafrodito. Tenía las facciones de un transexual con los poderes de cambiar de sexo a voluntad. En cuanto al lavado de dinero divino, Tony Marte consiguió robar un poco para hacer la prueba. Hermafrodito pudo transformar el dinero en ambrosía y la operación fue todo un éxito. A partir de entonces, los tres dioses corruptos se separaron a sus propios intereses en le inframundo del crimen.
